People Over Process – Restructures often focus on systems and org charts, but real leadership is about people. How are your team members coping? What do they need? Check in often—because change is personal before it’s operational.

Lead with Empathy – Fear and uncertainty can paralyze even the best teams. A leader’s job is to acknowledge those emotions while helping people move forward. A simple, “I know this is a lot, and I’m here to support you,” goes a long way.

Create a Sense of Control – Even in chaos, give people small wins. Whether it’s clear priorities, actionable next steps, or just reinforcing what hasn’t changed, stability—even in small doses—helps teams regain confidence.

That transition was one of the hardest I’ve experienced—but it was also one of the most defining.
